Aikido – This unique form of self-defense teaches students how to defend against an attacker. It is a practical and dynamic martial art that includes powerful throws, strikes, joint locks, and pins. This class runs on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 PM, Fridays 6:45-7:45 PM, and Sundays 2:00-3:00 PM and 3:15-4:15 PM.
Iaido – The art of Japanese sword. In the Dojo we practice Iai-Tate Do. It is a blend of traditional Iai and the more combative sword art known as Tate Do. The Japan Iai-Tate Do Federation was founded by Yamazaki Kiyoshi Sensei. Although there are a wide range of Koryu or classical Iaido styles, the style practiced in the dojo is Kashima Shinto-ryu. It is a traditional school of Japanese martial arts founded by Tsukahara Bokuden. This class runs on Fridays at 8:00 PM.
Ju Jutsu – A traditional Japanese martial art comprised of several different fighting elements: throwing, immobilizing, pinning, joint-locking and choking. Students train in a non-competitive environment, risk is minimized. A Ju Jutsu class promotes the knowledge, understanding and practice of self-protection and methods of practical defense in the face of a physical assault. This class runs on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 2:15-5:15 PM.
Yoga – Our yoga is a Vinyasa style of yoga linking breath and movement through sun salutations and postures of all types. This smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will help increase your balance and flexibility. This class runs on Mondays from 9:00-10:15 AM, Wednesdays 6:15-7:30 PM, and Sundays 7:45-8:45 AM.
