About Midwest Shotokan Karate Association
Midwest Shotokan Karate Association is a professional dojo, providing our students with top level instruction in Karate, Kobudo, Aikido, Iaido, and more. Our facility has students training as young as 3 years old and as old as 70 years old. Anyone can do Karate!
Midwest Shotokan Karate was established 20 years ago under Sensei Anthony DeSardi and has now been handed over to his student, Sensei Veronica Putzbach. Our dojo is part of Sensei Yahara’s organization called KWF (Karatenomichi World Federation). KWF Karate is true budo (the martial way) Karate and focuses on training the muscles and joints to create as much power in the techniques as possible- this is true Karate. At Midwest Shotokan Karate you will train in the traditional art of Karate, but learn in a fun, modern, and dynamic setting. Whether you are seeking self- defense, a new fitness program, looking for an activity for your child, or just wanting to learn something new Midwest Shotokan Karate is here to welcome you
